Ron Nachmann here, ready to help make your brand work for you. I'm a copywriter, editor, journalist, DJ, and producer based in burgeoning Portland OR.
I've strategized and delivered quality marketing communications for Fortune 500 companies like
PayPal / eBay, Bank of America, TRUSTe, HP, Nortel and others, targeting consumers, small businesses, developers and others.
Among other projects for PayPal, I strategized messaging for a brand realignment/site redesign, and served as the sole copywriter for the launch of PayPal Mobile.
As an arts & culture journalist, I served as an associate editor for the vaunted electronic music magazine XLR8R. I've also contributed to numerous other publications, including San Francisco Weekly, Bay Guardian, East Bay Express, Phoenix New Times, Miami New Times, Houston Press and URB.
I've also been a promoter, DJ and music curator for nearly 30 years. Currently, I produce and promote the monthly club night Signal, which spotlights the best in dub and deep dancefloor music with both local resident DJs and out-of-town guests.
I also co-curated and wrote liner notes for the compilation album Babylon is Ours: the USA in Dub, an unprecedented 12-track survey of the American dub scene that features all exclusive tracks and was released on the German-based SelectCuts label. I've DJed in numerous countries, released many recordings, and shared the stage with a bevy of names in the music scene.
I hold a BA in Literature with a Creative Writing emphasis from the University of California Santa Cruz.
